AMIC is pleased to announce the acquisition of the European business of Firebird, a UK Stockist specializing in the trade of precision nickel-alloy and stainless steel wires. Firebird has established close links with leading wire producers in Europe and the USA, meeting the needs of spring manufacturers for over 20 years.

The acquisition is effective from June 16, 2023.

Neil Skinner will advise the family-owned company AMIC for a period of one year.

Well-known for over 70 years for its European sourcing, product quality and customer service, AMIC now offers Firebird customers its recognized expertise and large range of wires and bars for springs and shaped parts in high-carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, low-carbon steel and non-ferrous metals.

AMIC also establishes a partnership with Wintwire Ltd, a sheffield-based wire and profile manufacturer. This alliance broadens AMIC’s offering and market positioning, offering its customers a greater diversity of solutions.
